Who We Are
Magic City Cycle Chix (MC3) is a grass-roots group of like-minded, bike-minded gals who love cycling and live in or near Birmingham, Ala. Founded in January 2011 by a two-wheeled mama who wanted to meet other women on wheels, we started as a simple Facebook group that’s growing at a viral pace. We are roadies, mountain bikers, cruisers, cyclocross racers, and moms towing toddlers in bike trailers up hills that crush some dudes. We are beginners, racers, social riders, and commuters. We ride together for safety, for support, and most of all, for fun.
Our Mission
Building courage, confidence, and community, two wheels at a time. We connect and support women who ride bikes by providing a friendly social network, regular girls-only rides, skill-building events, and a non-competitive environment. We believe biking is good for your health and good for your soul, and it’s not just about being active; it’s about having fun.
Our Goals
Through our private Facebook group (where posts are not visible to lurking non-members), we share updates on news, group rides, events, deals, gear, and relevant tips women cyclists need to know (like paceline Dos and Don’ts, trail etiquette, etc.) We aim to host at least one women-only, beginner-friendly ride every week (road and mountain), and occasional social mixers.
Partners and Symbiotic Groups
As a “non-denominational” group, we aim to unite women who race for and support all of our local bike shops, because we believe that getting more women on bikes is good for the entire Birmingham cycling community. However, we would like to give special acknowledgment and thanks to partner Cahaba Cycles for their support of our inaugural MC3 Women’s MTB Clinic series. We have a symbiotic relationship with the Birmingham Urban Mountain Pedalers (BUMP), who are responsible for the growing network of trails in and around Birmingham, as well as great events including the nationally renowned Bump-N-Grind race.

Hi,
I’m emailing you from Trek Bicycle headquarters and hoping you can provide your address so we can send you a few Trek Women items. We’re working on adding a list of searchable clubs to our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/trekwomen. Many women who post are looking for others to ride with, so we thought this would be a great resource. Please include any other information that you find helpful (such as the year the club began and the number of members) if you’d like!
We’d also like to thank you for your support to help grow the sport at the local level. We have a small package of Trek Women items that we’d like to send. If you could provide your email and mailing address, that would be great.
In addition, if you need help connecting with a local Trek Retailer, we could help facilitate that.
Thank You!

I think one of your current advertisements caused my internet browser to resize, you might well need to put that on your blacklist.
I was curious about if you ever considered replacing the layout of your blog? It is very well written; I enjoy what you have got to state. But maybe you can add a a bit more in the way of written content so people could connect to it better. Youve got an awful lot of wording for only having one or two images. Maybe you can space it out better?
