Jersey Unveil / Group Ride / Happy Hour!

MC3 Jerseys are IN! The printer got it right this time, and they look sharp. What better excuse do we need to get together and celebrate what is lookin’ like the fastest growing cycling group in the region…and maybe the country!

The date: Wednesday, July 20

Where: Cantina! at Pepper Place

5:30 p.m. Meet at 5:30 at Pepper Place. If you RSVPed to the Facebook Event, your jersey will be labeled and ready.

5:45 p.m.: Be ready to roll. There will be two group road rides. Lora will lead a beginner/flat option (you can ride your mountain bike if you don’t have a road bike). Maaike will lead an intermediate/hilly option. Both no-drop rides about an hour long (mileage depends on group speed).

6:45-ish: Happy hour at Cantina! Join us for margaritas and fish tacos (buy-yer-own) at Cantina! as we pass out the long-awaited MC3 jerseys. If you pre-ordered (and paid) you can pick yours up. If you did not get me a check, and someone else pays first (ahem, you’ve had months now…) you may have to re-order with the next batch. Thanks for understanding.

UPDATE: We just received sad news of a death in the Cantina family. Stay tuned for an alternate meeting spot if they are not able to host us this week, and please send your condolences.

About Kim Cross

An award-winning writer for Southern Living, Travel Editor Kim Cross is a storyteller by calling, dedicated to the art of creative nonfiction. She has edited great Southern writers from Rick Bragg to Fannie Flagg, and is an unapologetic word nerd who champions great narratives and fights for bigger word-counts in the age of images. In her spare time, she is a “cafeteria decathlete” who has competed in more than 10 sports, most of which are laughably obscure.
